Teva was my first dog, a golden retriever. She was a one-man dog, as most retrievers are, and showed this by curling up on my flip-flops. As hard as I tried to rein in her rambunctious nature, I couldn't get the job done. After breaking out of the truck one day and dashing across a busy road in search of cows to play with, I realized I had to find her a new home. The young ladies who took her in were just the thing.
