We had stopped at our usual break spot on I-89 in NH on the way to visit my folks. Carol noticed this monarch (I believe) on some Queen Anne's Lace and urged me to get out the camera and take a picture, which being the obedient and accommodating husband I am, I did. And I was glad for it If you look closely you may notice a horsefly frozen in the shot just behind and left of the butterfly.
